How scoring works

Students consent first

Each student ticks a consent statement before joining.

Read the statement
I understand that joining this teacher workspace allows its authorized staff to send me assignments, review work I submit through it, and view shared progress and reports. I can leave the workspace later.

Teachers see submitted work, never passwords or billing.

Questions from departments

What does it cost after the free year?

Nothing is charged automatically: there is no card behind the free year and it does not renew. Your workspace and students' work stay available afterwards. To keep setting new marked work, pick a paid plan (Academy is $199/month; smaller plans exist) or ask us about a department licence.

Do students pay anything?

No. Students join with a free learner account. AI drafts for class essays count against your workspace allowance, not the student.

Does it work on lab computers and on phones?

Yes. It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install on lab desktops, and students can also write on their phones.

Can I stop people outside my institution from joining?

Yes. Limit a join link to your email domain (such as @yourcollege.edu), and switch it off or replace it at any time.

What if a class is larger than 250 students?

Academy covers 250 active students, 4,000 AI-marked essays a month and 10 teacher seats. For more, email us about a department licence before your session.

Is the teacher workspace available in other languages?

The workspace is in English. Colleagues can use their browser's built-in page translation.

Is this an official IELTS test?

No. Bands are practice estimates that support your judgement, and you review them before students see anything. IELTS International is independent and not affiliated with the official IELTS test partners.

How scoring works

Several classes or departments?

Beyond 250 students or 10 seats, send rough numbers and dates. A person replies.
