Data The Extension Handles
The extension may process text that you select on webpages so it can show IELTS vocabulary feedback or writing upgrade suggestions.
The extension may store the following data locally in your browser:
- Saved words or phrases
- Saved writing upgrade pairs
- IELTS band values related to saved vocabulary
- Local timestamps for saved items
Where Data Is Stored
Saved vocabulary and saved writing upgrades are stored using Chrome local storage on your device.
The extension does not require an account.
Data Sharing
The extension does not sell user data.
The extension does not send saved vocabulary or saved writing upgrades to a remote server.
The extension includes links to www.ielts.international. If you click those links, your browser will open that website and the website’s own privacy practices apply.
Permissions
The extension requests:
storage— to save words and writing upgrades locally in your browser.contextMenus— to provide the right-click action “IELTS: Check or upgrade”.- Content script access— so selected text can be checked or upgraded directly on the page.
Remote Code
The extension does not load remote executable code.
