Tips for Meeting the Requirement
- 1Deakin requires IELTS 6.0 overall with 6.0 in each band — one of the lower thresholds among Australian universities. Note that even though the overall is 6.0, each component must also reach 6.0, so no band can fall below this level.
- 2If you are close to the 6.0 threshold, focus on your weakest component. Many test-takers at this level struggle with Writing — practise Task 2 essay structure and aim for clear, well-organized paragraphs.
