Tips for Meeting the Requirement
- 1Clarendon requires IELTS 7.5 overall with 7.0 in every band — matching the highest tier of Oxford's English requirements. Begin your IELTS preparation well in advance, targeting 8.0+ in your strongest skills to offset weaker areas.
- 2Since Clarendon selection is automatic, your Oxford application is your scholarship application. Ensure your IELTS scores are submitted early so they do not delay your application review.
- 3Oxford's higher-level requirement (7.5/7.0) applies to most humanities and social science programmes. Check if your specific programme has the standard (7.0/6.5) or higher requirement.
