1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using IELTS International (“Service”), operated at www.ielts.international, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
IELTS International is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to IDP Education, the British Council, or Cambridge Assessment. “IELTS” is a registered trademark of those organisations. We are an independent educational platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and IELTS International. Please read them carefully. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Accounts & Registration
To access certain features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or remain inactive for more than 12 months.
Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We strongly recommend using a unique, strong password and enabling two-factor authentication when available. Never share your password with others.
Account transfer: Accounts are non-transferable. You may not sell, gift, or otherwise transfer your account or any account features to another person.
3. Subscription Plans & Pricing
The Service offers free and paid subscription plans (Plus, Pro, Premium). Features, pricing, and limits for each plan are described on the Pricing page. We may change plan features or pricing at any time; existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect on their renewal.
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selection). Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout based on your location.
4. Payments & Billing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number on our servers. By providing payment information you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.
If a payment fails, we may retry the charge up to 3 times over the following 7 days. If payment remains unsuccessful, your subscription may be downgraded to the Free plan.
Speaking minute packs are one-time purchases and are non-recurring. Minutes remain in your account until used and do not expire while your account is active.
5. Refund Policy
Monthly subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. No refund is issued for the current billing period, but you retain access to paid features until the end of that period.
Annual subscriptions: If you cancel within 14 days of your initial purchase or renewal, you may request a full refund by emailing hello@ielts.international. After 14 days, no refund is available, but you retain access for the remainder of the annual period.
Speaking minute packs: Refunds for unused minutes are available within 7 days of purchase. Partially used packs are not eligible for a refund.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Subscription page in your dashboard or by contacting us at hello@ielts.international. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after cancellation.
Upon cancellation or downgrade, features exclusive to your paid plan become unavailable. Your account data (including test results and progress) is retained for 12 months.
7. Free Plan
The Free plan provides limited access to preparation tools at no cost. No payment information is required. We may change the features or limits of the Free plan at any time.

Enforcement: We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against violations of these Terms, including suspension or termination of your account, reporting to law enforcement, and legal proceedings.
10. AI-Powered Features
Certain features (essay grading, speaking practice, grammar feedback) use artificial intelligence. AI-generated feedback is provided as an educational tool and should not be treated as an official IELTS score or examiner assessment. Results may vary and are not guaranteed to reflect actual IELTS exam outcomes.
No guarantees: While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated feedback may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should not rely solely on AI feedback for critical decisions. Our AI models are trained on general data and may not reflect the latest IELTS scoring criteria or examiner preferences.
Content ownership: You retain ownership of content you submit to AI features. By using these features, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing feedback and improving our services.
11. Accuracy of Information
We strive to keep university requirements, immigration scores, and test comparison data accurate and up to date. However, this information may change without notice. Always verify requirements directly with the relevant institution or government authority before making decisions.
IELTS International is not responsible for any consequences arising from decisions made based on information provided on the Service.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IELTS International and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.
Essential basis: The limitations and exclusions of liability set out in this section form an essential basis of the bargain between you and IELTS International.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IELTS International and its operators, employees, directors, officers, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will cooperate with us in asserting any available defences.
15. Copyright & DMCA
Respect for intellectual property: We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect you to do the same. It is our policy to respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law.
DMCA notices: If you believe that any content on the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to our designated agent at hello@ielts.international. Your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorised agent
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on the Service
- Your contact information (address, phone, email)
- A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and under penalty of perjury that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner
Counter-notice: If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may submit a counter-notice with the information required by applicable law.
Repeat infringers: We reserve the right to terminate accounts of repeat infringers in accordance with applicable law.
16. Dispute Resolution
Informal resolution: Before pursuing formal legal action, you agree to give us an opportunity to resolve any dispute informally. Please contact us at hello@ielts.international with a description of your dispute. We will attempt to resolve disputes within 60 days of receiving notice.
Small claims: Nothing in these Terms prevents you from bringing claims in small claims court for disputes that qualify for that forum.
Class action waiver: To the maximum extent permitted by law, any disputes must be brought on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brazil. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if that is not possible, it will be severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
