Tips for Meeting the Requirement

  1. 1Taiwan ICDF requires IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each component. Focus on achieving consistent scores across all bands — the component minimums are as important as the overall score.
  2. 2Apply between January and March. Since IELTS scores are valid for two years, you can take the test well in advance and retake if needed before the deadline.
  3. 3Research your chosen programme's language of instruction carefully. While many programmes are English-taught, some may require basic Mandarin. Demonstrating Mandarin ability alongside IELTS can strengthen your application.
