About UBC International Leader of Tomorrow Award
The UBC International Leader of Tomorrow Award at the University of British Columbia covers the gap between what an international student can afford and the full cost of tuition and living expenses. Tips for Meeting the Requirement
- 1UBC requires IELTS 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each component. Aim for 7.0+ overall to strengthen your scholarship application, as the award is highly competitive.
- 2UBC also accepts Duolingo 120, but IELTS Academic remains the most widely recognized test. If you choose IELTS, practice the Academic module specifically — General Training is not accepted.
- 3The application deadline is October–December. Plan to take IELTS by September at the latest to ensure your scores arrive in time and you have a retake window.
